The November 2, 2010 election is over. We wonder if all of the campaign promises will be kept. The political scene today is all about change. Most candidates want to change something and they promise it will be for the better. Time goes on, elections come and go, new laws are enacted, some old laws are repealed and the cycle continues.
The only law that is steadfast is the Law of God. In God’s great creation the same physical laws put into place at the time of creation are still working today (Gen. 1-2; Heb. 1:3). In the course of Bible history, God has dealt with man under three dispensations: The Patriarchal, the Mosaical, and the Christian age. The Christian age began on Pentecost of Acts 2 and will continue until Christ returns. The New Testament is our guide in this dispensation (Heb. 1:1-2; Jn. 12:48). This law has been in effect for some 2000 years and will not be repealed. It is the law by which we are to live today and is the standard by which we will be judged (Rom. 1:16-17; Jn. 12:48). It is to our eternal benefit to: read, study and obey the New Testament.
