Seven Reasons why You Should Not Be Baptized, By Rick Laing

1. You do not believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 1 Pet. 1:22-23, 25; 2 Pet. 1:20-21).

2. You do not believe Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God in the flesh (2 John 1:7; Acts 8:36-37).

3. You do not want to confess Jesus as Lord; now and all your life.

4. You do not intend to repent and change your life (Luke 13:5; Acts 3:19).

5. You do not believe it is necessary to be baptized for the forgiveness of sins (Acts 2:38; 22:16; 1 Pet. 3:21; Rom. 6:1-7).

6. You do not intend to commit your life in service to Christ and take up Christian responsibility in His church/local congregation (Rom. 12:1-2; Col. 3:23-24; 1 Cor. 16:15; 2 Cor. 9:12; Eph. 4:12; 1 Cor. 12:14, 21, 25).

7. You do not intend to commit your life in service to Christ and take up Christian responsibility in His church/local congregation (Rom. 12:1-2; col. 3:23-24; 1 Cor. 16:15; 2 Cor. 9:12; Eph. 4:12; 1 Cor. 12:14, 21, 25).

I am not trying to talk anyone out of obeying the Gospel, I am merely pointing out some important principles. Of course, if you feel the very opposite to all of these, then you should give prayerful consideration to becoming a Christian. We pray that we can be helpful in assisting you to do that.
