The Old Testament contains thirty-nine books and can be divided into five categories . It contains the covenant that God made with Israel.
Many people are under the impression that the Old Law is still binding. This kind of thinking has brought about a lot of confusion in the religious world. Christ came to fulfill the Old Law and to take it out of the way (Mt. 5:18; Lk. 24:44). Paul writing by inspiration stated plainly that the Old Law ended at the cross (Col. 2:14).
There is a difference in the Old Testament and the New Testament. One cannot be under or obey both laws. If we leave the law of Christ and go back to the Law of Moses we fall from grace (Gal. 5:4)
