Some people think the way to deal with the LGBT issue is to simply accept them with open arms and according to them this is the loving thing to do. Many seem to think this is what God wants us to do.
How do we determine what God says is right and what He says is wrong? It is not by what I think, or feel or what the majority says – it is by what He has revealed in His word! “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death” (Prov. 14:12). Is it unloving to look into God’s word and determine what God say is right and wrong? Is one who upholds what God says about moral living a mean and unkind person?
God’s word does not sanction the LGBT issues – His word condemns such conduct. Our duty as Christians is to point people to Christ by teaching the truth. If we are living in sin, any sin, we must repent (have a change of heart which results in a change of life) and forsake that sin.
Paul the apostle wrote by inspiration,
“9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals,[a] nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God” (1 Cor. 6:9-11).
Jesus says, “If ye love me, keep my commandments” (Jn. 15:14). This includes “speaking the truth in love” (Eph. 4:15).
The current climate in our nation is to accept any and everything – whether it is approved of God or not. This is part of the “politically correct” mania that has swept over our nation. In order to push agendas than many disagree with – government officials threaten us with hate crimes when we speak against the evil that they sanction. What has happened to common sense in the United States? What has happened to common sense based upon the word of God? If God says something is wrong then no law or decree of man can change it!
Jesus said, “He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day” (Jn. 12:48).
