About Two Minutes

TENNIS CHAMPION Hana Mandlikova was once asked how she felt about defeating great players like Martina Navratilova and Chris Evert Lloyd. She replied, “Any big win means that all the suffering, practicing, and traveling are worth it. I feel like I own the world.”

When asked how long that feelings lasts, she replied, “About two minutes” (Mart D. Haan). The only real satisfaction in life comes not from work and accomplishment, but from a relationship with God.

“..my heart rejoiced in all my labour: and this was my portion of all my labour. Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that I had laboured to do: and, behold, all /was/ vanity and vexation of spirit, and /there/was/ no profit under the sun” -Ecclesiastes 2:10b-11
