I have read numerous articles and sermon outlines dealing with this topic. The following is a simple outline and one that is easy to remember. I think I first read these particular points from material written by Fred E. Dennis.
1. Every day say something to God. This refers to our prayer life (1 Th. 5:17-18; Js. 5:16; Heb. 4:16; Lk. 11:1).
2. Every day let God say something to you. This indicates our need for Bible study (Heb. 1:1-2; 2 TIm. 2:15; 2 Pet. 3:18; Acts 17:10-11; 1 Thess. 5:21; 1 Jn. 4:1).
3. Every day say something for God. This would include telling others the good news of salvation; pointing out the goodness of God; giving an answer to those who ask; defending the faith, etc. (Mk. 16:15-16; 1 Pet. 3:15; Jude 3; Phil. 1:17)
4. Every day do something for God. Christians need to be involved in good works (Gal. 6:10; Eph. 2:10; Titus 2:14)
It takes time and effort to do these things. This will keep us busy working for Lord. It will also help us draw closer to Him and to one another in true Christian fellowship.
